TEENSTAR DILEMMA follows twin brothers Heiko and Roman Lochmann as they reinvent themselves after their career as Die Lochis and aim to launch their serious music career under the name HE/RO. The documentary series breaks with all the clichés about the two former teen stars. It shows what lies behind the façade: the desire for recognition, creative crises, occasional quarrels – and the constant balancing act between marketing and authenticity. Between artistic self-discovery, family support and public pressure, Teenstar Dilemma shows real life instead of glitz and glamour: rehearsals in a cheap studio, rubber slippers in their parents' house, emotional moments on tour. The documentary series takes an open look at topics such as mental health, experiences of bullying and self-doubt – while also reflecting the fans' longing for belonging and authenticity. Teenstar Dilemma is an intimate story of two brothers learning to break away from their former role models. It is a narrative full of nostalgic moments and humour, with the courage to embrace imperfection and the central question: how do you become yourself when the whole world thinks it already knows you?
