Erik Winker

Born 1973 in Stuttgart. Studied communication, film and educational science and TV production in Münster, Berlin and Manchester. Degree as Master of Arts. Subsequently, advanced studies in film directing at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne. Graduated with a diploma. 2003 - 2007 producer at LICHTBLICK Film Cologne, where he participated in numerous documentaries and international co-productions. Regular activity for festival and selection committees and for national and international workshops such as Doc.Incubator, Documentary Campus or Ex Oriente. Teaching assignments for documentary film at the University of Applied Sciences Mainz, the ifs Cologne and others. Former chairman of Filmbüro NW e.V., member of the German Film Academy and founding member of the Documentary Association of Europe (DAE). In the summer term of 2021 stand-in professor for documentary at the University of Applied Sciences Mainz.
